Olivia Pace (she/her) is a freelance writer, organizer and educator born and raised in the Portland, OR metro area. Her writing focuses on capitalism, leftist politics, racial justice, Black feminism, popular culture, chronic illness and climate change, and sexual violence. She is the author of the monthly newsletter WASH DAY: Black Socialist Feminist Reflections. She is also the social media manager at Portland In Color, a local non profit that seeks to provide more opportunities and exposure for BIPOC artists in Portland. 

From 2015 to 2020 Olivia was one of the lead organizers of Disarm PSU, a campaign demanding the disarmament of Portland State University campus police. The university announced it would capitulate to the campaign’s demand in August of 2020. 

Olivia’s professional background is in early childhood education. She graduated from Portland State in 2019 with a BA in Child and Family Studies and a minor in Black Studies . As a preschool teacher, Olivia helped to form the Growing Seeds Workers Union in 2020, and was also a member of the Universal Preschool/Preschool for All steering committee.
